Why my download do not work / 404 error?
Q: Why am I getting “Download does not exist” or “404 error”?
A: Make sure that on the product page you have added the file using the File URL not the Attachment Link URL and it should look like:
http://www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/8/example.doc
