Before installing familiarize yourself with hosting requirements.
This installation takes only four easy steps. Let us begin.




After login in WordPress you will see the following page:

Click on the “Plugins” in the menu on the left hand side of the screen. You will be transferred to the Plugins page where you should click “Add new” button on the top of the page:

Next step requires typing “jigoshop” in the “Search plugins” box in the right-hand upper corner of the page and hitting enter:

Jigoshop will be the first plugin on the list. Simply click the “Install Now” button, after a few seconds you will see the following information:

Click the “Activate Plugins” command under the install information and refresh the page. The menu will change and you will gain access to more options in the menu, namely Jigoshop, Products and Orders:

Now you are ready to start setting up your shop by adding products, themes, choosing settings which suit you, manage orders etc.
Click the Jigoshop button in the menu on the left of the screen, and then click Settings. You will be transferred to the following screen. In this tab you have access to options such as invoicing and permalinks.


In order to disable the six abovementioned options just leave them blank.

After choosing all the options you want simply click the Save Shop Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the General tab at the top of the page to move to the General options. In this tab you have access to options like what happens after adding a product to a cart, checkout page options or Jigoshop message.





After choosing all the options you want simply click the Save General Changes button on the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Pages tab at the top of the page to move to the Pages options. In this tab you have access to configuration of pages on your shop site.

This page allows you to assign Jigoshop functional pages to actual pages at your site (please remember that these sites also need to have shortcodes to be working). Note: No changes are required.
After choosing the options you want simply click the Save Pages Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Catalog and Pricing tab at the top of the page to move to the Catalog and Pricing options. In this tab you have access to detailed catalog options; you may choose sorting direction, products per page or row etc. as well as the way of displaying prices on your site.


After choosing all the options you want simply click the Save Catalog and Pricing Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Images tab at the top of the page to move to the Images options. In this tab you can change the sizes of images displayed on your page.


There is no need to change anything in these options however if you want to simply check the boxes next to the options you are interested in and double click the boxes to enter sizes you want your images to have.
After choosing all the options you want simply click the Save Images Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Products and Inventory tab at the top of the page to move to the Products and Inventory options. In this tab you have access to stock options, weight and dimensions units etc.


After choosing all the options you want simply click the Save Products and Inventory Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Tax tab at the top of the page to move to the Tax options. In this tab you may choose the country on which to base the taxes on, additional tax classes, tax rates etc.


The standard tax rate of 20% applies to UK, all US states and all EU countries.
In the same way another tax rule can be set up for the same countries and then during product configuration user can choose which rate to apply. To see an example go to:

After choosing the options you want simply click the SaveTax Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Shipping tab at the top of the page to move to the Shipping options. In this tab you can enable or disable different shipping methods as well as customize them.




After choosing the options you want simply click the SaveShipping Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Payment Gateways tab at the top of the page to move to the Payment Gateways options. In this tab you can enable or disable different payment gateways as well as customize them.



Follow the instructions to get Preferential Jigoshop Partner Rates.





After choosing the options you want simply click the Save Payment Gateways Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Web Optimization System tab at the top of the page to move to the Web Optimization System options. In this tab you can enable web optimization system and clear cache.

After choosing the options you want simply click the Save Web Optimization System Changes button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Click the Products button in the menu on the left of the screen, and then click Add New. You will be transferred to the following screen:

Now you can start filling details of a new product. Let us begin with the name, description and an image:

Enter the product’s name in the box at the top of the page and the description in the large box in the middle of the screen, and then click the Add Media button.
You will be transferred to the following screen:

Here you can choose what type of media you want to insert into the description as well as choose the image of the product which will be displayed on the product page. If you place the cursor inside the product description area and click on Add media the image/media will be inserted into to the description text in the cursor position.With using Create Gallery option you can choose multiple images to be inserted into the description in a form of gallery.
After choosing a category in the top left-hand corner drop a file directly into the middle of the screen or click the Select Files button and choose a file from there. When you are finished click the “Insert into post” button in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
You will be transferred back to the Add New product page; scroll down and you will see the Product Data configuration panel:

Product types include:
Choose the product type by clicking on the box indicated on the screen. Now you can move to the General Product Data:

Choose the visibility of the product from the drop down menu, and then fill in all the other details by double clicking on the boxes:

If you choose to put any of the products on sale (reduce the price), you can enter the sale price or discount amount as well as schedule the sale time frame by clicking on the Schedule link and choosing the dates.

Now you can enter the dates of the sale by clicking on the boxes. After you entered all the General Data click on the Advanced tab indicated on the screen, you will see the following screen:

Here you can choose the Tax Status by clicking on the box and choosing from the list, choose the Tax Classes, enter the weight and dimensions of the product by clicking on the appropriate boxes as well as choosing whether the product can be personalized and if yes than with how many characters.
After you are finished click on the Inventory tab which is next to the Advanced tab, you will be transferred to the following screen:

Here you can specify the Stock Status by choosing the right value from the list or check the box indicated on the screen and let Jigoshop handle it for you. If you check the box you will see the following screen:

Enter the current Stock Quantity into the box indicated on the screen. The stock amount will be automatically reduced after a successful sale of the product and you will be notified when it will reach Low stock threshold specified earlier.
Choose what your stand on backorders is by selecting one of the options from the drop down menu.
After you are finished click on the Attributes tab which is next to the Inventory tab, you will be transferred to the following screen:

If you want a product to have attributes click on the Add Attribute button indicated on the screen and enter a name of the attribute in the box indicated as well as a description in the box next to it. Note: You can add an unlimited number of attributes to any given product by clicking the Add Attribute button..
Optionally you can create attributes by clicking on the Attributes button in the menu on the left-hand side of the computer screen under Products:

Enter the Attribute’s name by clicking on the box, choose the type of the attribute from the drop-down menu and click Add Attribute button when you are done as indicated on the screen. Now you can choose the attributes created here from the drop-down menu in the Attributes tab:

After you have finished click on the Grouping tab which is next to the Attributes tab, you will be transferred to the following screen:

Here you can enter the Sort Order by clicking on the box and entering a number chosen by you.
Now you can also add an Excerpt by clicking on the box indicated on the screen.
Let us move to the menus on the right-hand side bar of the admin panel:

By using them you can easily add a product to a category (Note: To learn how to create categories move to point 3.2 of this guide) by checking the box next to it, add Product Tags by clicking on the box, entering tags separated by commas and clicking the Add button when you have finished, or add a Featured Image without using the Add Media button.
After you have finished scroll to the top of the page, you will see the Publish menu on the right-hand side of the computer screen:

Now if you want, you can immediately publish the new product on your page by clicking the Publish button indicated on the screen. But it is generally a good idea to Preview it first by clicking the button in the top right-hand corner of the menu. Note: It’s also a good idea to click on Save Draft before previewing and publishing as some of the latest changes/settings might have been not saved and the product might be published in that state.

If you do not want to publish the product immediately you can save it as a draft by hitting the Save Draft button indicated on the screen or choose the date of publishing by clicking the Edit button next to Publish immediately line, choosing the date of publishing and clicking the OK button. Additionally you can choose the visibility of the product by checking the appropriate option indicated on the screen.
Click the Products button in the menu on the left of the screen, and then click Categories. You will be transferred to the following screen:

Now you can start filling details of a new category. Enter the category name by clicking on the indicated box; enter the description of the category by clicking on the indicated box (Note: Not all themes display the description); you can add a thumbnail image of the category by clicking on the Change image button indicated on the screen.
When you have finished click on the Add New Product Category indicated on the screen, you should see the new category displayed on the page:

Note: Number of products added to each category is displayed in the Count column.
Click the Products button in the menu on the left of the screen you will be transferred to the page from which you can manage your products:

You can sort and display products using filters indicated on the screen or search for product using product name or keyword. You can also sort products by Price or creation Date, by placing the cursor over the column title and clicking on the small arrow which appears next to it.
After you have found the product you were looking for simply move your cursor over it:

A line of four buttons will show as indicated on the screen, now you can simply and quickly choose what you want to do with a particular product.

In this menu you can quickly apply changes to any given product by clicking on the boxes with information you want to change. After you are done click on the Update button in the bottom right-hand corner of the menu as indicated on the screen or click the Cancel button in the other corner to cancel all the changes and return to the Products list.
Click the Orders button in the menu on the left of the screen you will be transferred to the page where you can manage your orders from. It looks similar to the Products page:

The list of colored links indicated on the screen represent different categories of orders, you can switch between them by clicking on the appropriate names, you can also filter the orders by dates by clicking on the box indicated on the screen choosing the month you are interested in and clicking the Filter button.
If you want to see the details of an order simply click on the order’s name as indicated on the screen, you will be transferred to a page showing the details of that particular order:

Jigoshop offers many free and paid extensions which can improve you store functionality, in order to download them go to www.jigoshop.com:







… and choose the extension file by double clicking it:



You will be transferred to the following page:





When buying an extension it is vital to provide Jigoshop with a valid email address.

After you purchase an extension it will be visible in the My Downloads tab in the top left-hand corner of the jigoshop.com page as shown on the screen shot above. In the same tab you will have access to all the licence keys of every extension you have bought.
Click the Appearance button in the menu on the left of the screen, and then click Themes. You will be transferred to the following page, here you can either choose from the default three themes or click the Add New button to choose a different theme:

If you choose the Add New option you will be transferred to the following page where you can browse different themes using the search options indicated on the screen. After you choose a theme you want on your site you can preview it from

this page or install it immediately by clicking the install button as indicated on the screen:
You will be transferred to the following page where you need to click the Activate button as indicated on the screen:

Now your theme is active and you will be transferred to the Themes page where you can click the Customize button on the active theme as indicated on the screen:

If you choose to customize your theme you will be transferred to the following page where you can adjust the theme to your preferences using the options on the left-hand side of the screen:

After you have finished simply click the Save & Publish button.
Click the Plugins button in the menu on the left of the screen, you will be transferred to the following screen:

Click on the box indicated on the screen and type Jigoshop you will be shown a list of all Jigoshop related plugins:

Now you can either install a plugin right away by clicking the Install Now button as indicated on the screen or click the More Details button in order to be transferred to the following screen:

If you decide that the plugin is what you are looking for simply click the Install Now button as indicated on the screen, you will be transferred to the following screen:

Click the Activate Plugin button as indicated on the screen, if everything went well you should see the new plugin on the list of plugins in the plugins menu:

After a successful installation of a new plugin you will have access to additional functions which are listed under the plugin name:

If you click the Manage button you will be transferred to the following screen where you can perform all the listed actions by clicking on corresponding buttons:

If you click on the Deactivate button you will not only deactivate the plugin but also be able to delete it altogether:

If you click the Edit button you will be transferred to the following page where you can change the plugin’s code:

Note: It is not recommended for novice users. If you want to make changes regardless click the Update File button after you are done.
