What is the best free simplified WP theme to use with JigoShop?

Just want to know which free WP theme to use that will not have any conflict with the JigoShop plugin. Thanks.

There are not any free WordPress themes that are designed specifically to run with Jigoshop. I'd recommend getting one of the themes made by Jigoshop for Jigoshop available at http://jigoshop.com/product-category/themes/

This one, it is fantastic! No issue at all... Weaver! Try it, you won't
    believe it is free. :-)

There is also the Skeleton Wordpress theme, which is not only free, but fully responsive.

The skeleton theme is great, I really wanted to use it on my jigoshop but unfortunatley there is an issue with it displaying the the payment option s properly. It spits out the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method jigoshop_cart::get_subtotal_inc_tax() in /var/sites/y/yoursite.co/public_html/wp-content/themes/skeleton/checkout/review_order.php on line 30

If any one knows how to make this go away without messing up the template working with PayPal it would be good to hear from you!

With reviews like this I would not recommend it for now.
So far, all of the WordPress.org site reviews are negative. I also doubt it is Jigoshop 1.3 compatible. Ill try it later.

I also would like to recommend that you try a free Jigoshop template from Template Monster. The quality and functionality is brilliant.

I'm playing with the template a couple of days and still impressed how easy to work with Jigoshop.

No web designer, or programmer would ever recommend a template from
TemplateMonster. They are well known for having some of the worst coded
themes out there. It may, sometimes it doesn't, work out of the box, but if
you ever have to add functionality, change the layout, or whatever, you
will have a fun time finding a programmer who will even touch their themes.

What exactly template did YOU use to say such a thing?

I'm neither a designer, not programmer, but I bought a template from http://www.templatemonster.com and was able to slightly customize its layout by myself (!).
Moreover, everyone may download free template samples and verify how they are coded out. That's what I did before purchasing.

I highly doubt you actually bought the template, given its free, and given
    you are TemplateMonster staff,
Furthermore, there are hundreds of reviews, but since I don't want to waste
my time, heres the first link from Google:

Given that both Zencart, and Opencart, as well as the Magento community
also recommends against purchasing your templates, I doubt I could find an
ecommerce platform you guys code for, where the core even has a neutral or better view of TM.

As with most Jigoshop Developers, on the sites for my clients I use themes
that I code, or fork from an existing, recommended Jigoshop template. Elsewhere, I use, and we recommend, the Twenty Eleven theme.

    As for this:

I'm neither a designer, not programmer

That's pretty much a lie. You do realize there aren't that many people with
your name. Took less than 5 seconds to find your staff profile on
    TemplateMonster, where it reads:

Tianna is passionate about copywriting and search engine optimization.Currently working for a widely known web development company, MotoCMS, she knows what the good web design means and how to create flash website, convenient and easily editable both for the Flash developers and end users.

    Or this article you wrote.

It is a thankless business to argue with anyone at all. I won't.
Just to clarify the situation: two years ago I was working for Moto CMS company as a technical writer. Moto CMS became a partner of Templatemonster and they started selling cute templates powered up by motocms. That's why I know the templates from the inside.

I have nothing against both these companies, only warm feelings.
And it's up to you whether to try their products or not.

__________ Chris, come down :) Don't accuse anyone of anything if you are not completely sure of what you are telling. P.S. How is spekyboy.com's article related to me?

  15. 16 Posted by templatemonster on 12 Oct, 2012 01:00 PM

It's true that Tianna worked for Moto CMS a couple of years ago & published several posts on TemplateMonster's blog.
But what is also true is that she worked with our jigoshop theme. And you - didn't. Your opinion is based on what other people say about our other products (not jigoshop). Don't you think it's not a really good ground for giving recommendations to others?

What if you download the theme (sample or any other theme - just let me know the template id and I'll send you 100% promo code) play with it and post your review here. What do you like about it, what do you dislike about it and how do you think it can be improved. Jigoshop is new to us and we are extremely interested in Jigoshop community members opinion.

  16. 17 Posted by mofeenster on 13 Oct, 2012 12:27 AM

The TemplateMonster staff's comments are just a way of gaining some possible link juice from this thread, and by also trying to divert Jigoshop members away from Jigoshop (who sell their own themes). It is nothing short of blatant self promotion, and that is the only reason they are posting here.

Thanks to Ivica and Nohl I sorted out my issue with the WP Skeleton Responsive theme.

I am a member of the Jigoshop community and that is my opinion.
