Table Rate Shipping Options

15 Mar, 2013 11:36 PM

Hi guys Ive got the table rates plugin.

I want the customers to be able to choose between the option of

£3.95 standard delivery
£6.95 next day delivery

But for some odd reason its not happening please advise.

I have attached the screenshot of the settings to see what I mean.

P.s how do you get rid of that ''EU vat'' thing on the checkout?

Thanks for the help all.

How is this odd? It's doing exactly what its designed to do. Table rates is designed to take into account variables like weight and flat rates, and return the cheapest one that your customer's cart fits. It cannot return multiple rates, like you're attempting to do, as stated right on the same page you bought it.

"it is currently not possible to be able to select shipping options during checkout (e.g. free / next day delivery)."

What you need is either Add Flat Rates, or Premium Shipping. Both can do what you're looking for. Add Flat Rates is the cheaper of the two.

The only way I'm aware of at the moment is using the Checkout Manager

We're probably going to add a toggle on off in the settings for it next

Keep in mind if you've set your base country to a non-EU country that field
    should not appear.

    Wouldn't that affect the currency?

I.e we are in the UK so the base currency would have to be pounds

The base country does not affect currency. Those are seperate settings. Currency is set right below base country.

Hi Chris thanks a lot for your help think got it all sorted for the shipping

One last question though is on the checkout it doesn't give the option for a payment gateway with credit/debit card .

    How is that enabled?

Tried installing the custom gateway plugin but still no show.

Here are some examples who seem to have figured it out and would like to emulate

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post wasn't sure to continue here since it was my issue or to start a new thread. (so went for the safer option.)

You need to get a gateway that allows for that. PayPal Pro or PayPal Advanced (if in US/Canada) or Stripe etc etc

Hi thanks for that, just tried to get the

But for some reason it takes me to a different page instead of downloading the plugin

We want it to be able to accept UK and US so Intl orders as well as local.

Yes, it takes you to the Github page, where you need to click the Download
    Zip button.....
Pretty much any payment processor allows you to take payments from pretty
    much anywhere
