Low Down Deep Recordings – lowdowndeep.com

Back in October we featured French hiphop download site Deuxkids, and now it’s the turn of British Drum ‘n’ Bass with Low Down Deep Recordings and the work of young British designer Rory Morris. Much like our own Overload theme for digital downloads, Rory has created an eye-catching and standout site in darker colours which capture the spirit of darker and more underground dance music in the UK.

And it certainly seems to have worked – in the first three weeks of being live, the site had 50GB of encrypted downloads alone. That’s down to the combination of the music itself, the design of the site, and Jigoshop taking care of the backend so site owners and developers can focus on what’s important in securing sales.

Rory has shared that his client is already impressed with the revenue from the site. He also said he found Jigoshop a pleasure to work with, having switched eCommerce solutions halfway through the website build due to specific payment requirements.

What’s really interesting about the site in terms of functionality is that some products are available as physical purchases, whereas others are digital downloads only. And then there are also products available in both formats, leading to a variety of layouts and options on product pages.

The above example is only available as a CD – also notice items like the Facebook Comment integration which work well to promote your products via social networks.

Whereas the product below is available as an MP3, Wav, or even on vinyl.

We all really like this site because it fits perfectly with the tone and feeling of the products it sells, which is no doubt one of the reasons why it is so successful. And it’s great to see such a wide range of shopts and styles based on Jigoshop, proving that it really does work for practically any type of eCommerce store.
