We love to see the great online shops which are being created using Jigoshop, and this is a series highlighting the amazing stores that have come to our attention. If you’ve gone live with an implementation of Jigoshop, and would like to be featured and promoted, email [email protected]

Victym: thisisvictym.com

Victym is an art collective which aims to showcase new talent and explore new areas of design and illustration, so you can imagine that the look of their website was extremely important to them. That’s probably one reason why they picked James Kemp to design and build their site, as his previous showcase entry, for Antique clothing also shows.

We asked James about his choice to work with Jigoshop:

I originally chose Jigoshop because of the good reviews it had received. I used it again because I had a great time manipulating it the first time! I like that it uses all the core WordPress functions, making it super easy to create your own loops and make the site look and feel how you need.

So how did Victym turn out?

The homepage is pretty striking as we think you’ll agree, giving plenty of space to show off the striking artworks with a great selection of images to highlight the latest blog posts as well as the Featured Prints for sale.

And the great selection of images continues throughout the site, with the main shop page again using a clean, image-led design to lift it above the background.

The prints page is probably our favourite for the photos used – it looks great having human hands holding up the art to give the site and the artwork more personality.

And finally the product page lets you invest in the artwork, as well as tempting you with related items to add to your collection.

Seeing as it’s such a visual site, we don’t want to write too much in this post, but it’s great to see yet another stunning website which uses Jigoshop to handle the eCommerce side of the business.

Antique – BecomeAntique.com

Antique is a new clothing brand which was launched in London in 2010, and currently offers a range of cool shirts, hoodies and hats. For their new website, they brought in James Kemp, who has something stylish, with big, bold imagery and colours to compliment the clothing.

The Store page is notable for displaying all products, along with a few Category choices, but mainly making use of a slider to set prices to narrow down the available options. You’re able to selected a minimum and maximum price, and no matter how difficult you try and make it, the site always returns at least one or two products to choose from.

Then we come to an individual product page, with three big, clear images of the clothes being modelled. The use of multiple images, including using different models for the same shirt or vest, means you can get a great idea of how your new purchase might look, and the Related Items are used nicely with the multiple images displaying via the two or three dots across the picture, as with the main shop page.

In addition to the great use of multiple images in each placement and some nice custom fonts, the use of a single background, and colour choice gives an element of class and quality to reinforce the clothing brand and allow them to stand out a bit from other similar clothing lines.
