Six new Jigoshop extensions, including PayPal Express and Network Merchants Gateways

A massive six new extensions are now available for Jigoshop, including a new PayPal Express Payment Gateway to increase sales and minimise the steps needed for PayPal customers to make purchases on your online store. With a total of 57 extensions currently available, that means you really can tailor your eCommerce business to your exact needs. Plus there’s a new Product Accessories plugin for extra product options, a Network Merchants Gateway, Shipping Details and the ability to automatically watermark all your product photos.

Paypal Express Gateway:

PayPal Express for Jigoshop

There are now three options to give you the best possible solutions for PayPal payments on your site. We already offer PayPal payments as part of your standard Jigoshop install with standard checkout using PayPal’s website to complete purchases. That means you don’t need to complete any additional set-up to start making money. And we’ve previously offered PayPal Pro if you hold the required merchant account and you’re located in the US, UK or Canada.

Now we’ve completed the set with PayPal Express – this uses the PayPal API to integrate the service into your website with just a PayPal Business Account. The main difference is that once your customer is transferred to approve the use of PayPal, they are then returned to your website to complete their order, making the process quicker and more seamless.

It’s not only quicker and easier for purchases, but it also means that you can get real-time updates of successful payments. The one difference is that it isn’t suitable for making credit card purchases without signing into PayPal, so it’s best used in conjunction with a credit card payment gateway such as Sagepay for credit cards.

 

Product Accessories:

Product Accessories for Jigoshop

The Product Accessories extension allows you to easily select and drag-and-drop accessories for any product listing, allowing you an easy way to highlight the most relevant additional products a customer should buy as part of their purchase. These can be selected from one, or multiple, categories. The order of how they display can then be prioritised via the drag-and-drop interface.

 

Mailcheck:

This is a fantastic way to prevent errors from customers incorrectly entering their email address, and best of all – it’s free! It uses the Mailcheck library to detect when a user may have mistyped an email domain, and will prompt them to check and correct their email address as needed. So rather than ending up manually going through your customer list and trying to spot anyone who entered ‘hotnail.com’ by mistake, the Mailcheck plugin saves you time and effort, and makes sure your customers will receive all their confirmation emails without problem.

Network Merchants Inc Gateway:

Implement the fast-growing Network Merchants Inc payment solution which was developed mainly as a response to internet fraud, and allows you to take all major credit card payments via the NMI website, meaning that you don’t need to worry about handling credit card details and the compliance required. Instead, you simply need an SSL certificate (which you can easily obtain from your website hosts for around £10), and you’re good to accept a wide range of currencies from around the world.You can find the Network Merchants Inc Gateway listed under Third Party Extensions.

 

Shipping Details Plugin:

Integrate shipping tracking via your site by allowing customers to enter a Shipment Tracking Number, and then launch a new window directly to the tracking for that particular order without needing to visit the shipping company website. That applies to the following shipping companies – USPS , Australia POST Domestic, Australia POST International, Canada POST , Royal Mail, Parcel Force, FEDEX , DHL, UPS.

For all companies it allows tracking numbers to be sorted and displayed on the View Order and Track Your Order pages on your site, keeping all the user order details in one place, and then sends them to the user via email when an Order is marked complete, giving your customers all the information they need in one place and making it quicker and easier for them to keep track of their orders – meaning less customer service enquiries to deal with!

Product Image Watermark

If you have invested time and effort in the best possible photography to show off your products, you don’t want those images being taken and re-used by other websites without at least getting the credit for them – the Product Image Watermark plugin automates the process of marking all your images, with the option to vary them for catalogue, pop-up, thumbnail and main product images.

You can also choose the position, whether you want the watermark appearing in the top right or bottom left, and not only does it emphasis your copyright, but it also means your branding will be obvious if your products are shared on some of the most popular and effective social networks for eCommerce sites, such as Pinterest.
