Jigoshop is truly a global eCommerce solution, and this week we’re highlighting Australian store Loot + Law. When it comes to running an internet-based shop down under, there are a number of Jigoshop extensions to choose from, including Fat Zebra and eWay payment gateways, and Australia Post Shipping.

Jigoshop Showcase #34 Loot + Law

Loots + Law is is a clothing and style site for men, with clothes, styling products and a frequently updated blog. It’s run by Gabriel Lawyer and developed by Chris Thomas.

Jigoshop was chosen because it’s easy to install, use and keep updated.

The homepage is clean and stylish, befitting a fashion website, with a stylish logo and clear Return and Free Shipping information displayed in the header.

Rather than cramming every product onto the homepage, users are able to scroll the selection of five L+L Favourites, and the blog is prominently featured on the homepage as a way for the character and culture of the business to come across.

There’s a good selection of products in each category, with the option to sort by date, name and price, or via the full Category list in the right hand column. The Life Accessories section has some particularly interesting products, with everything from shaving cream to books.

As style is largely a visual medium, products come with a good range of photographs which are clearly displayed and also use a mouse over zoom to display details. There’s a decent amount of information, along with the useful Measurements tab for clothing.

In addition to Related Products, you also have a handy ‘Recently Viewed’ content box at the bottom of the page in case you lose track of the items you’ve browsed, and reminding you to go back and make a purchase.

As the first eCommerce product Gabriel and the Loot + Law team have used, they’re happy to have chosen Jigoshop

We’re very pleased with the performance. It does what it’s meant to do

Trying the DEMO and got this…..

    Error establishing a database connection

      Hi Shawn,
Sorry to hear you’ve had problems – can you check again and provide any more detail about what happens if you still encounter a database connection? I’ve checked all the links from this article and the Demo link via our top navigation to try Jigoshop and everything seems to be working correctly, so I can only assume it was a momentary outage which has resolved itself.
