PayPoint online payment gateways can now be used within Jigoshop with this new extension. Extand your options by integration two types of PayPoint Accounts with the choice of Hosted, or Hosted + IMA (Internet Merchant Account).
PayPoint has more than 13 years of payment process, with all major debit and credit cards supported, 99.99% claimed uptime and a 5 minute sign-up process. Plus you should be able to start accepting payments within 48 hours of signing up, and they’re PCI DSS and 3D Secure compliant.
You get 350 transactions included for free each month, with a fee of 10p per subsequent transaction, but you also get UK-based support, and fraud management capabilities.
The Hosted + IMA version has a cut-price set-up and monthly fee for a limited time, with a typical rate of 1.95% per transaction, and it can be up and running in under 24 hours.
If you have a Hosted account you should:
1. Set “Integration Method” to “Hosted” and Save Changes.
2. Set “Enable paypoint” to yes, if it is not already enabled.
3. Write your “Method Title” and “Description”.
4. Write in your “Merchant ID”.
5. Set “Digest Key” and then set the same key in the “Account -> Remote Passwords -> Digest Key”
6. Set the absolute URL to your uploaded on PayPoint website logo, if you have one, else leave empty.
7. Set if you want to receive e-mails with error logs and to which email you want to receive them.
8. Set a test or live mode. Recommended: make a few transactions in test mode before you go live.
9. Save Changes.
If you have a Hosted+IMA account you should:
1. Set “Integration Method” to “Hosted+IMA” and Save Changes.
2. Set “Enable paypoint” to yes, if it is not already enabled.
3. Write your “Method Title” and “Description”
4. Write in your “Installation ID”.
5. Write in your Return and Response URLs in the appropriate fields of your metacharge.com account.
Or just copy and paste the “Return/Response URL” to those fields.
An SSL web page would be appropriate, but not mandatory.
Usually “Account Management -> Installations -> The installation you need”
6. Set if you want to receive e-mails with error logs and to which email you want to receive them.
7. Set a test or live mode. Recommended: make a few transactions in test mode before you go live.
8. Save Changes.
And that’s it. Obviously you’ll need a PayPoint account to use the PayPoint gateway.
